Environmental Education brings awareness to the interconnectedness of all beings. My actions and the actions of all others have a resounding effect on our world. Environmental Education reveals the important responsibility we have as stewards of our environments to restore and sustain them. Environmental Education moves beyond the natural world to include such subjects as social, political, and cultural dimensions. It is essential that environmental education teach compassion, respect for all beings and non-living entities, whole systems thinking, sustainable living practices, and critical reflection.
